Food safety officials have issued an urgent recall for Kelly Loves Sushi Ginger products sold in Asda and Waitrose stores across the UK.

The Food Standards Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Notice to inform consumers about the safety risk concerning the 150ml packs of Kelly Loves Sushi Ginger.
Products with the batch code UK12019 are included in the recall. The affected items have a best before date of 9 February 2026.
Customers are being urged to check their cupboards for the affected product and to follow the return instructions.
A notice from the company reads: “Kelly Loves is recalling [a] specific batch of SUSHI GINGER due to a potential risk of glass contamination.
“While the product has been removed from shelves as a precautionary measure, we are now extending the recall to consumers who may have purchased the affected product. Other Kelly Loves Sushi Ginger batches/products are not affected by this recall.
“We would like you to kindly return the affected product to the store you purchased from, and you will be granted a full refund (no receipt required).
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your cooperation.”
All retailers stocking the product have been instructed to remove it from sale immediately while the company works with authorities to investigate how the contamination may have occurred.
