New Dubai Chocolate Cake Bar hits Morrisons but Britons are unconvinced - 'don't bother'

The chocolate bar has been described as "too dry" by several disgruntled customers
A sweet treat inspired by popular Dubai chocolate bars has landed at Morrisons but not all shoppers are happy with the new addition.
The Pistachio Kunafa Dubai Chocolate Cake Bar has set back Britons £4 for a 55g bar, which many customers feel is far too expensive.
Despite the price, the bars are selling at rapid rates, and consequently, shoppers are reselling them on sites such as eBay. Keen chocolate enthusiasts have been paying upwards of £17 to get hold of the confectionary product.
But for some Morrisons customers, the chocolate bars are simply not worth the hype. One social media user said: "Me personally - it's a hard don't bother! Tasted stale and incredibly dry with no flavour."

Another added: "My verdict was that unfortunately, they look much better on the wrapper than they taste. Expensive at £4 and quite dry. I would prefer to put the money towards a good quality Dubai chocolate bar or ingredients to make my own."
A third agreed: "I tried this and it's horrible." Another disgruntled customer stated: "I personally think it's horrid and not worth the £4."
"Honestly, I tried these and thought they were vile," another commented. "I love the Dubai chocolate off TikTok but these are cheaply made! £4 a bar is insane!"
"Lots of people said it’s not even close to the original one and not worth the money," a social media user said.
The Morrisons' creation appears to be based on Dubai chocolate, which is filled with kadayif (a sweet shredded pastry) and pistachio. First created by Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai in 2021, it was branded as Can't Get Knafeh of It.
Rather than snapping up the chocolate from Morrisons, chocolate lovers have been encouraging each other to make their own to create a more authentic taste.
One user said online: "The homemade ones are nicer. These are cake ones and so dry, there not nice at all."
Another chimed in: "Won’t say it’s horrible but overrated." One more said: "Don’t waste your money."
The sweet treat did garner some positive reactions, though. A social media user enlisted the help of a loved one to secure the confectionary: "If you see this you need to get me it." Another said: "Get to Morrisons!"
One chocolate enthusiast claimed that it tastes "sooo good", although they did complain about the price.
