'Get in my basket!' Britons can't wait to get their hands on new Butterkist popcorn flavour coming to Asda, Sainsbury's and more

Marketing Manager at KP Snacks, Jenny Blanco Bancia, said of the launch: "We are excited to add an exciting and delicious flavour to the Butterkist portfolio.

"Our new flavour capitalises on the growth of Big Night In and offers customers a fun and tasty new flavour to enjoy during their sharing occasions," reported Grocery Trader.

Britons are buzzing to try the new flavour. Commenting on a Facebook post by Newfoodsuk, one popcorn fan said they "will have to try it", while another called it a "need".

A third cannot wait for the popcorn's launch dates in supermarkets: "Get me that right now." Another said: "Get in my basket!"

In a similar vein, one popcorn enthusiast said: "Bet that's stunning." Another agreed, stating: "Ooohhhhh, sounds quite nice." Another snack fan said: "Omg, bet they'd be amazing."

The comments section was littered with chants of "oh, yummy", "they look good" and "oooh".

Of course, not everyone was impressed by KP Snacks' latest Butterkist product.

One sceptical social media user worried they "might taste sickly". Another tagged a loved one, stating: "Your dream and my nightmare." A third said: "Oh! That looks far too sweet."

Butterkist Caramelised Biscuit Toffee Popcorn (155g) is available at Ocado for £2.
