"The insanely delicious taste of strawberry-flavoured whipped nougat along with the goodness of peanuts make for a perfect treat.

"Savour this chocolate pack amidst working hours or share it with your favourite people, this Snickers chocolate bar will leave you satisfied."

Britons were alerted to the find by food blog Newfoodsuk who shared a post on Facebook.

Hundreds of people left their verdict, with the treat receiving mixed reviews. Some customers were excited as one said they would "love to try these" and a second confirmed they are "weirdly delicious".

More customers said they are "actually really good", and they found them "tasty".

However, other shoppers said they "sound revolting" while one who had tried the bar described it as "overly sweet", adding they are "not a fan".

A third shopper penned "Snickers is peanuts, not strawberry. I hate tampered stuff". The treat appeared to divide opinions among those who had already tried it, as one more claimed it "wasn't nice at all".

MORRISONS

The new Snickers flavours are not the only surprise Britons have received in supermarkets this week, as some have noticed Easter treats already in stores.

Easter eggs and snacks were seen in shops as soon as Boxing Day.

Posting on the announcement of an Easter Terry's Chocolate orange treat, a shopper wrote "I would definitely eat that," while another urged a friend to "keep [their] eyes open for these".

However, others were frustrated with the early arrival and commented, "Christmas is not over yet!".
