Shoppers have taken to social media seeking answers about the product's disappearance
Asda has discontinued its popular OMV instant hot chocolate range, leaving vegan shoppers without their favourite winter drink.
Loyal shoppers have expressed disappointment after the treat vanished from both store shelves and Asda's website.
The move sparked disappointment among customers, who have taken to social media seeking answers about the product's disappearance.
A concerned customer, Lorraine Weller, tweeted Asda's customer service team on Thursday asking: "Hi, can you please tell me whether there are any plans to bring back your OMV instant hot chocolate? You were the only supermarket to do their own brand."
Shoppers were quick to notice the treat missing from the store

The supermarket confirmed the product's discontinuation on X, responding: "Hi there, I am sorry to tell you that the hot chocolate has been discontinued and is no longer on sale in our stores."
The OMV range was known for its diverse flavour selection, including Cinnamon Hot Choc Pearls & Mallows, Salted Caramel Flavour Hot Choc, and a seasonal Cinnamon Hot Chocolate & Gingerbread Mug.
The range had built a loyal following among customers for its vegan-friendly takes on classic comfort foods.
Shoppers will now need to seek alternatives, as the product is no longer available through any Asda channels.
This discontinuation follows the axing of other recent products across the UK.
Cadbury fans were recently left disappointed after discovering that the "best chocolate bar ever made" has been discontinued.
The revelation came after a confused shopper took to X, formerly Twitter, to ask about the availability of Cadbury's Big Taste bars, saying they were "struggling" to find the treat for their partner's Christmas gift.
The Big Taste range had been a fan favourite before being axed by the chocolate maker.

The Dairy Milk Marble bar has been spotted in B&M stores, as revealed by the New Food Spotter Facebook Group.

While British shops briefly stocked the bar as a limited import three to four years ago, it had been largely absent from UK shelves for nearly a decade.
