A sweet twist on a classic Christmas game has been spotted in Asda

Britons have discovered Asda's Merry Chocolate Dominoes, which are on sale for £3.

The supermarket giant described it as a "tasty festive game with milk chocolate pieces".

While many customers were excited by the discovery, it attracted mixed reviews as others questioned how it would work with everyone touching them.

The food blog NewFoodsUK alerted shoppers to the product. Commenting on their Facebook post, a customer penned, "you wouldn’t want to eat them after everybody’s been touching them".

This was met with a number of other comments as shoppers agreed with this sentiment. One more said: "If they are individually wrapped I would buy, but I'm not playing if everyone touches them then eats them."

Another was concerned they would melt during the game, posting: "They’d just make a mess as they are handled, unless there are some tongs to handle them."

However, others were excited about the idea. One tagged their loved one and said: "Please purchase these for Christmas day fun."

Another added: "I love this! Chocolate and a game, maybe a good idea for me to get for presents." A third simply commented it was a "great idea".

More shoppers tagged their friends and family, asking them to pick up a pack in stores. This comes as Britons shared their disappointment when learning Cadbury had discontinued two chocolate treats.

The chocolate brand confirmed the Winter Orange Crisp and Cadbury Dairy Milk Mousse Snowman Chocolate bars would not return, despite customer pleas.

Posting on X, Cadbury said: "Hi there, we're always adapting our Christmas range to ensure there's something new for everyone.

"This year, we've made a few updates we think you will love. We understand some will miss the Dairy Milk Orange Crisp Bar. Who knows, we might see them again next year. We hope this helps."

It added how shoppers can find out what is available, writing: "Please check out our website for the full list www.cadbury.co.uk/products and we hope you find something you enjoy."
