Aldi imposes strict two-bottle limit on 'delicious' drink ahead of Easter - 'shoppers better be quick'

Aldi has imposed a limit on how many bottles of wine shoppers can pick up this week
Aldi shared its latest in-store offers, where the price of popular wines have been slashed by as much as 50 per cent ahead of Easter.
However, shoppers have been warned a popular red wine will come with a strict limit of two bottles per person.
Customers will not be able to buy more than two bottles of the Specially Selected Le Bourgeron Pinot Noir, which has been reduced by 40 per cent from £8.29 to £4.99.
Aldi states: "Boasting delicious notes of rich cherry, raspberry and vanilla, shoppers will be quick to notice similarities to the popular Bouchard Aîné & Fils Pinot Noir but with a saving of 43 per cent (£3.80).

"Priced at just £4.99, this incredible value red has a limit of two bottles per customer."
This comes as Aldi shared a warning for another wine included in the offer. Aldi's Saint Émilion Grand Cru is reduced by 50 per cent, dropping from £19.99 to £9.99 until March 24.
The retailer suggested buying restrictions could be imposed on this wine too, as it was forced to do this due to the popularity the last time it was reduced.
Aldi continued: "Rich and savoury on the palate, with juicy blackberry and well-balanced notes of ripe fruits, wine fans can stock up on red carpet tipples with Aldi’s Saint Émilion Grand Cru for just £9.99 (was £19.99, 50% saving) without pulling on the purse strings.
"But shoppers better be quick. A similar deal last December saw the supermarket introduce a two-limit bottle offer after it sold an incredible seven bottles every minute."
A range of wines have been reduced in the supermarket until March 31 while stocks last, just in time for the Easter bank holiday weekend.
The cheapest wines available in the deal are the Beachfront Pink Moscato (was £4.99) and Rioja (was £5.49), which have both been dropped to just £3.99 per bottle.
This comes as Aldi launches fully recyclable flat wine bottles for the first time as part of its "climate-friendly mission".
The supermarket said: "Coinciding with Global Recycling Day (March 18), Aldi has announced the UK’s first supermarket own-brand flat recycled PET wine bottles.
"The Chapter & Verse Shiraz and Chapter & Verse Chardonnay (£5.25, 75cl) will be available to buy in lightweight, fully recyclable PET bottles, in stores nationwide now.

"Made from 100 per cent recycled PET, the new flat bottles weigh just 63g - making them nearly seven times lighter and stronger than a standard glass bottle, while being completely shatterproof - ideal for picnics and BBQs."
The new wine bottles are more compact which will mean there will be fewer cars needed on the road to transport to stores. Aldi added: "Removing 42 tonnes of bottle weight for this launch alone, the next-gen bottles not only make light work of heavy shopping baskets, but they also deliver impressive green credentials for eco-conscious shoppers.
"The compact design means 30 per cent more bottles can be loaded onto pallets and transported to supermarkets; and converting to these innovative bottles compared to standard round glass, takes 30 per cent of lorries off the road."
