The sausages will pay tribute to each of the countries involved in the Six Nations

Aldi is set to launch a limited-edition range of sausages to celebrate the Six Nations 'Super Saturday' rugby tournament, which will take place on March 15.

The new Ashfields Six Nations Sausages will be priced at £2.49 for a pack of six, with each "quirky" sausage flavour paying tribute to one of the competing nations in the championship.

The launch comes just in time for the highly anticipated England versus Wales clash on Super Saturday.

Aldi's latest range features Baked Beans Sausages to represent England, described as "embodying the beloved English delicacy".

Wales is represented by Chilli, Leek & Cheese Sausages, characterised as "fiery, just like the Welsh Dragon".

Scotland's offering is Haggis Sausages, labelled "a true Scot's staple flavour".

For Ireland, Aldi has created Pork, Beef & Stout Sausages, designed "to perfectly complement the ultimate Irish pint". France is represented by sophisticated Red Wine and Garlic Sausages.

Italy completes the line-up with Tuscan Style Sausages, promising to transport "tastebuds to the sun-drenched rolling hills".

Rugby fans will be able to purchase the sausages just in time for the Six Nations finale. The limited-edition range will hit Aldi shelves nationwide on March 13.

However, the Six Nations sausages will be sold as Specialbuys, meaning "once they're gone, they're gone".

Specialbuys are the "unique and exciting products that you find at Aldi - from DIY, kitchenware, garden furniture to sports, camping and everything in between".

The "brand new" and "exciting" products arrive in stores every Thursday and Sunday.

This comes as Aldi announces a limited-edition tipple that promises a "luxurious" experience.

As St Patrick's Day approaches and Britons are looking for ways to celebrate the Irish holiday, Ballycastle Stout Flavour Country Cream lands in stores.
