Aldi has unveiled a new wine that promises to evoke memories of a beloved discontinued sweet.
The supermarket chain's Specially Selected Strawberries & Cream Rosé, priced at £7.99 for a 75cl bottle, is being marketed as a nostalgic alternative to the axed Campino sweets.
The wine aims to capture the essence of the iconic red and white swirled candies that were once a staple on UK supermarket shelves.
Aldi's offering boasts a "beautiful coral hue", reminiscent of the sweets' distinctive appearance.

With aromas of fresh strawberry and ripe red cherry, complemented by a subtle hint of vanilla, the rosé seeks to recreate the flavour profile that made Campino sweets so popular.
The palate is described as both juicy and dry, striking a balance that may appeal to those yearning for a taste of their childhood.
The Specially Selected Strawberries & Cream Rosé offers customers a chance to "rediscover 'the good old days' through rosé-coloured glasses," blending sentimentality with a contemporary twist.
Mistress of Wine, Sam Caporn, said: "With fresh notes of red berry fruits such as strawberry, raspberry and red cherries, expect your tastebuds to be transported to those delicious, nostalgic ‘sweet-shop’ flavours.
"You get the classic strawberry & cream notes, delicious and evocative – it’s certainly for those of us who grew up on penny sweets!"
In other Aldi drinks news, the supermarket has also unveiled its latest wine offering, the Specially Selected Peaches & Cream Chardonnay, priced at £7.99 for a 75cl bottle.
This Chardonnay boasts a creamy, silky texture with a "delightful balance of sweetness and freshness".
Ripe peach and juicy nectarine flavours dominate, complemented by subtle hints of crisp white pear for added complexity.
