Britons can snap up Takis Fuego and Takis Dragon Sweet Chilli from August 1

Aldi has announced that Takis, a Mexican brand of flavoured tortillas, will be returning to stores.

The supermarket said: "American snack sensation Takis caused quite the furore on social media when they first landed on Aldi’s shelves.


"Instagram users were flooding the comments to praise the iconic curled Mexican crisps with shoppers saying 'these bang’ and 'I’m heading to Aldi to get these right now’."

Indeed, one social media called it "the best news ever". Another said: "Love these."

A third tagged a loved one in the comments, stating: "Need you to pick these up for me." One social media user announced: "Off to Aldi I go hahaha!"

Aldi stated: "Shoppers will be delighted to hear that the beloved snack will be back on Aldi’s shelves fromAugust 1, for £3.49 (180g).

"The supermarket will be stocking two tasty flavours of the popular crisp - both of which have previously been dubbed 'the best flavours'.

"Takis Fuego offers a combination of fiery hot chilli and zesty lime with a spicy kick that will get tastebuds flaring.

"Meanwhile, Takis Dragon Sweet Chilli boasts a combination of sweetness and chilli spice that promises to satisfy any sweet or savoury snack craving."

But Britons don't have forever to get their hands on the flavoursome snacks. They will only be available for a limited amount of time.

The supermarket explained: "Both flavours will be stocked as Specialbuys - so shoppers best be quick, as once they’re gone, they’re gone!"

Specialbuys are the "unique and exciting products that you find at Aldi - from DIY, kitchenware, garden furniture to sports, camping and everything in between".

New Specialbuys are brought to Aldi on Thursdays and Sundays at "unbelievable prices".

Takis can be found in Aldi stores and online via Click & Collect from August 1.
