Food recall warnings have been shared by a number of supermarkets

Supermarkets have ongoing recalls for items that could cause a number of health issues.

Shoppers at Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl have been urged to check for the affected items.


Sainsbury's also recalled contaminated meat that can cause serious illness.

Morrisons

The supermarket is recalling a meat product with a salmonella risk. Shoppers should check as the best before date is fast approaching.

It has been recalled and withdrawn from shelves but customers may still have it in their fridges.

A statement said: "As a precautionary measure, Morrisons is recalling the above date code of this product as there is a risk it may contain salmonella.

"Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt."

Lidl

Customers should look out for chicken that could contain pieces of hard blue plastic.

The Food Standards Agency warned: "Lidl GB recalls Red Hen Battered 25 Chicken Dippers because they may contain pieces of hard blue plastic. The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat."

Tesco has an ongoing recall for its free from crisps as they could contain gluten.

Tesco said: "We’re recalling one date code of Tesco Free From 150g packs of Onion Rings, Cheese Flavour Balls and Bacon Rashers, as they may contain gluten which isn’t declared on the packaging.

"This could be a risk to people who have coeliac disease or an allergy/intolerance to gluten."

Tesco also shared a recent recall for a potentially dangerous children's light.

This comes as Asda shared a product recall for candleholders sold in stores.
