A driver could lose his licence hours after getting it after speeding on a dual carriageway.
A young motorist has been caught speeding at over 100mph just hours after passing his driving test.
Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team (NSRAPT) stopped the driver on Wednesday on the A47 in Swaffham, near King’s Lynn.
Posting on Twitter, the NSRAPT stated that PC Writer caught the driver travelling at a staggering 102mph during speed checks.
The driver, who had only passed his driving test four hours earlier, was handed a traffic offence report for excess speed.

Alongside the tweet was a picture of the speedometer, showing just how quickly the vehicle was going.
The NSRAPT added that this was part of the ‘fatal four’ – speeding, drink and drug driving, driving while distracted and not wearing seatbelts.
The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points added to their driving licence.
Given that the motorist had only hours before passed his test, he may have to deal with far stronger consequences.
If someone is within two years of passing their driving test, their driving licence will be revoked if they build up six or more penalty points.
The man was driving on a dual carriageway which includes a maximum speed limit of 70mph.
Many in the responses to the tweet reacted with shock to the incident, with one user saying it “must be the fastest driving licence removed ever”.
Another commenter said: “Result! You may have saved their life but those of the many in the future.”
A third driver joked: “Didn’t lose any time with his new-found freedumb!”
This is the second time the NSRAPT has caught someone speeding over 100mph in the space of three days.
On Tuesday, the policing team reported that a driver had been detected travelling at 107mph just 50 miles away in Sproughton.
The driver was also stopped and issued with a traffic offence report for excess speed.
