One of the first changes the slimmer made was cutting out alcohol

Multiple components contribute to successful weight loss, such as exercising regularly, getting seven to nine hours of sleep, and setting achievable goals.

A slimmer, who lost 2st 5lb, shared three dietary changes he made that were the catalysts behind his weight loss.

Tobias Harrington discussed the steps he took for weight loss, with the first being the elimination of high-calorie drinks.

Discussing on YouTube (@TobiasHarrington), he said: "One of the first things I did was cut out alcohol. I stopped drinking it because I realised the number of calories it has.

"I had to cut out my favourite drink because it had 190 calories. One would not feel me up, so next thing you know, I had about six of them, which was far too much."

The weight loss enthusiast swapped them out for lower-calorie options, including water.

Tobias explained: "Drinking more water will make you feel less hungry and ultimately better. I know sometimes it sucks just to drink water but trust me, it makes a big difference.

"The goal is always to make it as easy as possible, so getting healthier options like a Coke Zero rather than a regular Coke makes a huge difference. It's not as bad as you think. Just get it and get used to drinking it."

You do not have to make a complete cut-off, but avoid it "becoming a habit - just have it once in a while".

The YouTuber said: "You can still have alcohol on occasion; just do not have too much. Don't do it every single weekend."

With his food, the slimmer picked out "healthier options" and selected foods with lower calories.

He stated: "I have bread now, which is only forty calories per slice. Compared to regular bread, that's a big difference. The diet is extremely important, but you also need to be more active. Eat less, move more."

The slimmer started playing basketball two to three times a week to exercise more.

He said: "My honest advice is to find an activity you can do. When I first started playing, I felt like I was going to throw up, but I kept going consistently.

"The pounds started to fly off, and I got better. You will be in a calorie deficit, which will make you lose weight."

Another individual shared how they slimmed down through a simple diet technique, which meant they could enjoy big portions and still slim down.
