Most people understand the significance of diet for weight loss, yet exercise is equally crucial when performed correctly.
A slimmer has shared how she lost 5st 6lb after giving birth to two children, crediting short, intense workouts to her success.
Maya Graves discussed on her YouTube channel how she did not recognise her body when she weighed 17st 7lb.
She said: "My body was foreign to me. It was like I was in a stranger's body, and it felt so uncomfortable. I made the commitment on January 6, 2024, that I was going to commit to a healthy lifestyle."
Intense workouts mixed with cardio and strength training transformed Maya's weight loss

Maya concentrated on "focused" gym sessions, avoiding distractions and training "effectively" for half an hour.
The slimmer explained: "I remember a couple of years ago when I was in the gym, I'd have a good workout and build up a little sweat. But I was not showing up and giving it my all.
"If you want to see results, understand that 30 minutes of a focused workout is much more effective than two hours of an unfocused one."
Including a mix of cardio and strength training in her sessions took her weight loss journey to the "next level".
The content creator said: "Cardio changed my life, and I love the intense workouts. I know I'm strengthening my body but also burning fat. The workouts are going to be hard, but it works."
You do not need to be "super strict" with how many times you get to the gym or how long your sessions are, but you have to give it your all when you are there.
Maya said: "Even if you can only give 20 minutes, give that 20 minutes your all. You do not have to set aside a whole hour or two a day to work out. All you need is 15 to 20 minutes to get a good workout in."
With her diet, the slimmer started cooking five to six times a week to "cut out having fast food or eating out".

She stated: "I saw a significant difference in my weight loss journey when I started cooking at home consistently. I fell in love with cooking, and it became really fun for me to come up with creative ideas for my food."
Maya admitted she has tripped up "a couple of times" and had fast food, but that's "natural". People should not be harsh on themselves but try to keep "consistent".
Another slimmer put down his weight loss success to changing his lifestyle habits, which helped him "transform" his body.
He advised changing how you count your calories by logging your food before eating it, rather than after.
