A fitness enthusiast has detailed the three habits that helped her transform her abdomen

Losing belly fat often feels like a colossal undertaking, but it doesn’t always have to be complicated.

Sometimes, the simplest exercises and rituals lead to the most significant results.

Strength training is a crucial element for fat loss and should incorporate upper and lower body exercises, performed three times weekly.

A fitness enthusiast named Therese recently credited this fitness regimen for helping her tone her abdomen.

Exercising this frequently yields significant results, explained the TikToker, sharing impressive before and after pictures with her followers.

She told followers her stomach transformation would never have happened if she hadn't created a calorie deficit in her diet, however.

“Don’t get me wrong, ab exercises will help to strengthen the area," Therese added in the caption of her post.

"But in terms of fat loss, ab exercises will essentially do [nothing] if you aren’t in a calorie deficit."

She continued: “I ate in a calorie deficit, I strength trained three to five times a week, and I had one set day for cardio and core.

“There is not one magical exercise that is going to make you lose fat on your belly. The only thing that is going to allow you to lose belly fat is eating in a calorie deficit.

“You cannot pick and choose where you want to lose body fat from. Everyone is going to be different.”

Although no one can pick and choose where on their body they lose weight, they may benefit from exercising earlier in the day.

Certified Balanced Body Education Director at Balanced Body, Joy Puleo, told GB News: “When you wake up your body is in a state of fasting.

“Without getting overly scienc-y about this, the body’s glucose stores are depleted. As a result, early morning workouts tend to tap fat stores faster.

“If you choose to eat first, choose something light before your workout, and certainly always hydrate as needed.”

Daily walking is also widely recommended by experts, as it is both an accessible and beneficial option for most people.
