Despite many weight loss gurus advising against snacking, eating between meals does not have to derail your goals - as long as you know what to go for.
Dr Liu (also known as Healthy Immune Doc) shared the "best" snacks to enjoy on a slimming journey for "increased metabolism".
Taking to YouTube, the expert said: "Can't lose weight? Could you be eating the wrong snacks?"
Dr Liu explained that although your metabolism is water-dependent, drinking loads of water and "fasting" is unhealthy and unsustainable.

Instead, slimmers should "target foods that are low in calories and high in water" to reap weight loss rewards.
Dr Liu explained: "Many healthy snacks that will elevate your metabolism are rich in water.
"Ideally, we should all be getting our water requirements from the foods we eat, but that means we need to eat more fresh fruits."
Encouraging slimmers to consume more blueberries - which are around 85 per cent water - she explained that they are also high in fibre and low in calories.
Blueberries can be enjoyed both fresh and frozen, with both varieties delivering different benefits.
For a cheaper and slightly lower-sugar snack, the doctor advised slimmers to enjoy their blueberries frozen.
Fresh blueberries, however, have "much more vitamin C", which can help to prevent weight gain if consumed in adequate amounts.
The expert added that whole fruits are much better than dried fruits or other common snacks such as candies or cookies because there is "so little sugar" in them due to their water and fibre content.
A second expert also advised slimmers to reach for blueberries next time they are hungry.
Dr Neal Barnard explained that as well as being high in fibre, low in calories and satiating, the anthocyanin content of blueberries can be a major fat loss booster.

But when cultivating a healthy, weight-loss-friendly diet, selecting the right foods is only half the battle. Indeed, it's also important to avoid snacking on things that can set back your progress.
Dr Liu named the seemingly healthy snack that is one of the "worst foods" you can eat, as it can cause you to "pack on fat".
Calling all coffee drinkers, she also advised enjoying your cup at a specific time to boost fat burning and "burn more calories".
