"Sustainable weight loss takes time, it needs to be gradual for it to be maintainable," the slimmer explained

Losing weight is a challenge for many individuals, with many hurdles, such as staying motivated and exercising regularly.

One woman who slimmed down discussed how a calorie deficit, avoiding processed foods and staying active helped her to lose weight.

The slimmer, Kendall Hoyt, took to YouTube to share how this helped her lose more than 3st 9lb.

She said: "Sustainable weight loss takes time. Weight loss needs to be gradual in order for it to be maintainable."

A method she adopted was being in a calorie deficit, which helped her shed pounds effectively. Kendall explained: "A calorie deficit is when you are eating fewer calories than what you are burning in a day.

"It depends on your height, weight and activity level for what your deficit will be. For me, calorie counting was a big tool."

Whilst in a calorie deficit, avoid eating high-process foods as "they are very calorically dense".

Focus on finding foods that keep you full and are not high in calories. The content creator said: "At the beginning of my weight loss journey, as someone prone to binge eating I had to replace the volume I was eating with vegetables.

"I would eat an entire bowl of broccoli and sprinkle some cheese on it and that would keep me full. There are little life hacks where you can make the vegetable a little bit yummier, but they do fill you up."

Whilst the slimmer had vegetables, there are other options weight-loss enthusiasts should consider such as "grains, beans and fruits".

Movement is one of the biggest challenges for people, but even something as simple as walking helps with weight loss.

Kendall advised: "Walking has increased my endurance and heart health astronomically. Walking is one of the safest low-impact exercises that you can do. The secret to movement is finding what works for you. Join a class, take a bunch of different classes and find what sticks.

"It sometimes feels difficult to be a beginner at something, but no one cares. What you need to know about working out is everyone is focusing on themselves."

Another slimmer lost 1st 12lb in 2 months and kept it off by boosting their intake of the right ingredients.
