Nana Akua thanked GB News viewers for their birthday messages and as they remarked on her young appearance, the GB News host gave her tips and tricks for staying so young.

She told viewers in an exclusive video: "So it is my birthday. I hear you asking how old I am. I'm old. I'm very old.


"Actually, no, I'm 53 today. Now I'm very pleased because I've managed to get over half a century.

"Some people ask, how come you're so slim and so on and so forth?

"I used to be a gymnast when I was younger, but the main thing is that I do hot yoga and I do some Ashtanga gymnastic-based hot yoga. I do three to five classes a week and I like to swim as well. And then the other thing is food - what you eat.

"Every morning, I always have my aloe vera and I have a couple of spoons of olive oil, and it's disgusting.

"You think it'll be calm? It's not calm. It's not nice. So I have to sort of intersperse it with the aloe vera.

"And then after my aloe, I then will have a papaya - it's the fruit of youth. Plus I always make sure I have purple sweet potato.

"So purple sweet potato, papaya. And finally water. Water. I drink a lot of water, but I actually drink alkaline water because I find it helps to settle my stomach.

"And obviously your immune system, lots of parts are controlled in your stomach, so your gut health is really important. So those are my three tips food, exercise and loads of water."
