Drastic weight loss is synonymous with extreme dieting, but many slimmers have achieved breakthroughs by embracing a simpler approach.
Liza, who lost more than 7st, recently shared on her TikTok channel how the simple act of walking can lead to extraordinary results.
The content creator shed 7st 2lb in just one year through daily walks and basic dietary changes, all before stepping foot into a gym.
“I lost 140lb (10st) in total, but 100 of those pounds, in one year, were lost at home,” said Liza. “I lost 100lb (7st 2lb) at home before even getting into a gym.

“I want you to know the power of walking is so strong, and I want you to know that walking is the number one thing that helped me lose weight.
“I’ve tried everything in my life to lose weight, every single diet I tried and I failed because I tried to be perfect with everything."
Liza’s journey began with a modest goal, which was to walk without getting out of breath.
“I started walking and every single night I would walk anything from 20 minutes to 30 minutes, sometimes an hour and I did that for two months,” she shared.
But the real breakthrough for Liza occurred in the third month of her journey after she introduced technology to track her progress, and the results were astonishing.
“The third month came around and I bought an Apple Watch, I started a step count, and I made sure that I hit 10,000 steps every single [day]," she said.
“Within those three months, I lost between 30lb to 40lb (2st 2lb to 2st 12lb) and that was the first time I ever saw a chunk of weight go down. During that time I also cut out fast food.
“That is all that I was doing. I was eating the majority of my meals at home, and I was walking every single day.”
