Taking advice and learning from others is one of the best ways to start losing weight.
A dietitian has shared a step for slimmers to incorporate into their weight loss journey to help them see considerable progress.
Expert Marie Lucey spoke on YouTube about how people should pick out their "worst habit" and focus on tackling it.
She said: "The first step is about finding the low-hanging fruit. It's the one thing in your diet or lifestyle that is holding you back.

"Too many people chase quick fixes or empty promises when in reality, there is often one main issue that is sabotaging your progress, and it is often right in front of you.
"You want to identify your worst habit around food, dieting or exercise. Then you want to focus the majority of your effort on fixing that one constraint."
One of Marie's client's main issues was overeating late at night, which would undo all of her good work during the day.
The expert stated: "This probably sounds familiar because it happens to many of us. After a long, stressful day, whether that is work, looking after kids or just in general, sometimes all you want to do is sit down, relax, watch your favourite show and maybe have some biscuits or chocolate."
To combat this, rather than restricting eating even more, the client started "eating a nutritious, high-protein breakfast to keep her feeling full".
Marie explained: "We set a hard stop at 7pm for eating and tracked her progress. Tracking your progress is a game changer for seeing results.
"After two weeks, she was not craving late-night snacks anymore. Her weight started to move without needing to battle these willpower struggles every evening."
The dietitian encouraged people to focus on their "biggest constraint" and put all their energy into fixing that first "rather than the latest diet or fast".

For slimmers wanting to go one step further, "the next step is getting your data".
Marie said: "If you are not tracking, you are guessing and guessing is not a very good strategy. Track your weight one to three times a week. Look at progress pictures because they can tell a really good amount.
"If you are serious about data and weight loss, you want to start tracking and having more data as it can be very motivational and empowering."
