A dieter has revealed her weight loss transformation to prove that significant results are possible without extreme measures
Weight loss is greatly determined by diet, but sometimes focussing on a sustainable training programme specifically tailored to her personal goals leads to the greatest results.
Gurleen Kaur achieved a 1st 8lbs weight loss through sustainable methods, proving that significant results are possible with resorting to extreme measures.
Unlike many restrictive diets, her approach didn't involve eliminating carbohydrates or sugar from her meals.
Instead, the Londoner dropped from a size 14 to a size 6 by adopting a consistent approach to exercise.

“I was in a calorie deficit, I managed to lose over 10 kg over my whole journey," Kaur explained. "I am consistently working out every single week."
“What I didn’t do was remove carbs and sugar from my diet, I didn’t do crazy HIIT workouts of different workouts every single week.
“All I did to get to this was have a training programme that was sustainable and tailored to me and my goals."
Kaur revealed that her approach helped her lose more than 10 centimetres from her waist measurement.
“The perfect routine is the one that works best for you and fits in your lifestyle the best," she added.
“It’s the one you feel most confident following. I’m not over-complicating my journey, I know what I need to do and I do it every single day.
“My biggest tip to you is honestly, just get yourself a coach, or at least get a programme that actually works for you."
Dr Walter Willett, professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health, also stressed that consistency is crucial for success and that physical activity plays a vital role in burning calories and building muscle.

"Consistency is key," said Dr Willett. "Begin by choosing activities that you enjoy and do them for at least 150 minutes each week."
Of course, combining exercise with a healthy diet is a more effective weight loss method than calorie restriction alone.
This ultimately means the body is expending more calories than it is consuming.
While diet and exercise are both important for weight loss, slimmers generally find it easier to manage their calorie intake by modifying their diet than burning more calories through exercise.
