Intermittent fasting can be one of the most effective ways of losing weight. It involves an eating pattern that alternates between fasting and eating during the day.
Adrian Hines has put a unique twist on the weight loss method which helped him lose over 2st in six months.
He explained on YouTube that through a combination of intermittent fasting and having a banana drink, he has been able to slim down easily.
Adrian said: "I did not crucify myself and say I am breaking the fast by having a drink. Around lunchtime or whenever I was a bit hungry, I would supplement that meal that I might have had with a banana drink."

Adrian said that the banana drink broke up the day and gave him the energy to see him through to his next meal.
He said: "Now if you follow strictly intermittent fasting, some will say you have got to follow it through. What I did worked for me.
"What it did was keep me focused and meant I could get through that hunger. I could enjoy a banana drink and I could get through to the end of the day. It worked an absolute dream."
The drink helped Adrian stay disciplined on his weight loss journey, as well as being packed full of nutrients.
Banana drinks can have lots of vitamins including vitamin C which can help protect against cell damage.
Bananas are full of fibre too, which can help with digestion and gut health. They are also rich in potassium which helps regulate heartbeat, muscle contractions, and nutrient movement into cells.
Adrian said: "There is nutrition in a banana drink but the main benefit was it helped me get through to the end of the day and then eating a meal. What I did avoid was a direct eating of food. It was an intake of liquid."
The slimmer said that it does not have to be a banana drink but it could be anything to suppress the hunger needs.

Adrian explained: "Maybe it’s not a banana drink for you. It should be something that will give you something to look forward to."
People should not be harsh on themselves if they do slip up. Part of the beauty of intermittent fasting is that even if you mess up once, you can just reset onto the next day.
Adrian said: "It was easy, that was the key for me. All I did was use an app to check how long I was fasting and at the end of the day I rewarded myself.
"This worked for me so find what works for you. For me, to have that long session of not eating with that banana drink worked a treat."
