Britain's weight loss success stories: Mother-of-two credits simple diet change for 'completely transforming body shape'
PA
When it comes to weight loss, finding a sustainable eating pattern can help avoid the pitfalls of restrictive eating. This week, GB News has spoken to a slimmer who dispelled the myth about complete carbohydrate restriction to lose weight
While regular exercise is non-negotiable for strength and fitness, changing one's eating habits may be an even stronger catalyst for achieving weight loss goals.
One Briton who spoke to GB News recently found that the diet proved more impactful than exercise after nine months of gruelling training sessions made little to no difference to her excess weight.
"Even though I was getting fitter and stronger, I was still not happy with being overweight," Emily Brown told GB News.
"I then hugely appreciate that adjusting what, how and when I eat was the absolute game-changer to changing my body."

Through a seven-week programme, the 35-year-old implemented a series of critical nutritional changes that completely transformed her weight loss journey.
This included upping her protein intake with Bio-Synergy Skinny Protein Shakes, which became an essential part of Emily's daily routine.
The mother-of-two also claimed that a mindful approach to eating carbohydrates was central to her success, noting: "I can have carbohydrates when I've earned them, for example, if I have exercised."
Initially, she eliminated daily snacks from her diet, including chocolates, crisps and biscuits, which proved the most challenging aspect of her transformation.
Slowly, she has allowed herself a few more treats. She shared: "Now I do have them, just as a treat, not every day."
As is often the case when embarking on weight loss journeys, things become especially challenging when progress begins to stall.
"It's frustrating when you initially lose weight, then plateau, but having the encouragement to keep going," Emily noted.
"But when you break through the next stage, stay committed and consistent - all of a sudden I felt, wow it's worked!"

The biggest takeaway from the whole experience was understanding the fundamental principles of nutrition.
"I never really felt I was on a diet, or restricted, just much more mindful of what was going on my plate," she said.
To maintain her weight, the slimmer adheres to a regular exercise routine and emphasises protein-rich meals and mindful eating habits.
The slimmer added: "I feel so much stronger, better in my own skin and healthier. My energy levels are higher and I feel motivated."
