Catherine said: "Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.
"Really, it's getting brutal out there and we have to protect our skin."
Protecting skin from UV rays is important for the health of skin, but it is also thought to prevent ageing.
Many moisturisers and foundations will have sunscreen built in as an extra layer of protection, but wearing an SPF every day could offer the best results.
A study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine found those who use sunscreen daily were 24 per cent less likely to show signs of ageing than those who used it less often.
Even those who start using sunscreen in their 40s or 50s could notice big differences in their skin.
Catherine went on to say a good exfoliator was also a must for her.
She added: "A word to the wise, if you have sensitive skin, exfoliating just a couple of times a week should do the trick without causing irritation."
