Drivers have been warned to expect delays from as early as 4am tomorrow

Drivers have been warned their vehicles could be towed and removed tomorrow as the London Marathon causes a series of road closures and problems.

The closures will affect the boroughs of Greenwich, Southwark, the City of London, Tower Hamlets and Westminster as 56,000 runners hit the road to complete the 26.2-mile route.

Roads will close at different times throughout the day, with some shutting as early as 4am while others will remain closed until the late evening.

But before then, residents in the impacted areas have been urged to move their vehicles out of the way by Saturday evening.
