Martin Lewis has urged motorists to make use of money saving tips to help them save on expensive breakdown cover and car insurance costs.
Drivers up and down the country have been dealing with pricey motoring costs in recent years as a result of car tax, fluctuating petrol and diesel prices and the rapid rise in car insurance.
The Money Saving Expert is now calling on drivers to take action and help themselves save money on a range of motoring costs.
Drivers could save around £150 per year for just five minutes of their time when switching or haggling with providers of breakdown cover.

Martin Lewis highlighted how price-walking was still having a huge impact on motorists when buying breakdown cover, despite it being banned for car and home insurance.
This will see providers slowly increase prices for their customers every year, meaning those who auto-renew their policy will end up “overpaying massively”.
The host of the Martin Lewis Money Show instead gave drivers three options that could save them money when looking for breakdown cover.
He suggested AutoAid’s full service cover which costs £57 per year for a driver and their partner with Martin Lewis saying it had been his top pick for almost two decades.
This includes roadside recovery, home start and onward travel, with a further £15 charge if the car is older than 16 years.
If drivers want to stay with the big hitters like AA or RAC, they are advised to avoid auto-renewing, with both companies being in the top 10 UK firms to haggle with.
Similarly, Martin Lewis encouraged drivers to use a cashback site when getting a new AA or RAC policy as they could save half of the total price.
Prices for car insurance have spiked to record levels with drivers expected to fork out an average of £995 for their policy.
The latest data from Confused shows that some drivers could be hit with costs as much as £3,100 for young motorists, on average.
The advice from Martin Lewis can help drivers stop their prices from increasing by as much as 60 per cent.
Drivers are urged to use the MSE Compare+ tool to find the best policy for them, with it taking between 10 minutes and one hour to look for the changes.
Writing in his latest MSE newsletter, he said: “Assessments of how much car insurance rose in 2023 vary from the industry's (ABI's) own 29 per cent up to Consumer Intelligence analysts' 67 per cent - either way it's a shedload!”

A number of drivers have used the comparison tool by entering their motoring data to see if they can get a cheaper deal elsewhere.
One driver who used the tool claimed that their car insurance renewal quote fell from £1,100 to just £488.
