Millennial men have been found to contribute to five per cent more car collisions on UK roads than any other demographic.
According to new research, men aged between 28 and 43 were responsible for the most accidents behind the wheel, totalling over 6,000 collisions.
Millennial women of the same age followed closely behind and were responsible for 5,120 collisions on the roads.
However, the youngest and oldest female drivers were identified as the most cautious motorists each being responsible for less than 2,000 collisions.

Data revealed that out of all drivers on UK roads, men were 27 per cent more likely to cause a crash than women.
Men aged between 40 and 49 contributed to 4,686 crashes compared to women in the same age bracket who were responsible for 4,014 crashes.
In the over 70 bracket, men were responsible for 2,720 crashes on the roads while women in the same category were responsible for much less with 1,531.
Men ages 25 to 29 caused 3,261 crashes compared to women who caused 2,689 collisions.
Ash Young, founder of CarMats.co.uk, which commissioned the research, said: “As our vehicles become safer, it's important for drivers to uphold safe driving too.
“Results from our nationwide survey and the latest Government records show men and women in their 30s were the main culprits of causing car accidents.
“It’s often hard to determine who is in the wrong in a collision involving two vehicles.
“Anyone who exhibits dangerous driving or feels tentative on the road should strengthen their driving skills with refresher driving lessons, or invest in safety measures like a black box or a dashcam to enhance confidence on the road."
The research detailed how collisions mainly occurred in built-up roads with a speed limit of 30 mph as more vehicles share a limited road space.
When looking at data, Kent was named as the place where most vehicle collisions occurred. Busy roads and its proximity to London mean it’s a hotspot for traffic, which could be part of the reason for its high number of collisions, the data stated.
Kent also had the highest number of drunk drivers with 181 accounts of motorists failing breathalyser tests in 2022, compared to only 44 drunk drivers in Birmingham.
Drivers must report the collision to the police no matter who was at fault. If they are found to not stop at the scene or report an incident drivers could face heavy charges.
