The Audi Q4 e-tron has been recalled in the United States
AUDI
Volkswagen
In new documents filed with the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Volkswagen Group of America is recalling more than 60,000 vehicles.
The recall warned that impacted vehicles face issues with the instrument panel not properly displaying the transmission gear level indicator.
It is feared that failure to display the gear position could result in the vehicle rolling away if the parking brake is not engaged, which can also increase the risk of a crash.

Before leaving the vehicle, owners are advised to confirm that the parking brake indicator light is illuminated, or a situation could arise where the vehicle rolls away unintentionally.
The impacted vehicles include the Audi Q4 e-tron (2022-2023), the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron (2022-2023) and the Volkswagen ID.4 (2021-2023).
The Volkswagen Group of America said dealers would update the brake control unit software for free.
Anyone who owns an impacted vehicle is expected to receive a notification letter from the manufacturer at the end of April.

MASERATI
Maserati
The luxury Italian manufacturer said in February that 27,354 vehicles are impacted by a recall over crash fears.
It stated that the radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying, meaning the vehicles do not comply with requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard(FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility".
The recall affects certain 2023-2024 Grecale, 2023-2025 MC20 Cielo, 2024 GranTurismo, GranCabrio, 2021-2024 Levante, Ghibli, Quattroporte, and 2022-2025 MC20 vehicles.

The NHTSA documents state that an issue with the rearview camera not displaying would decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Maserati will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to update the radio software. This will either be done over-the-air or via USB.
It also submitted a General Reimbursement Plan for any costs incurred for remedies in advance of the notification of safety-related defects.
Anyone who owns one of the luxury vehicles included in the recall may be eligible for reimbursement in accordance with that plan.
