In its latest update, National Highways confirmed that the M4 remained closed westbound between J14 and J15 for recovery and "to treat a fuel spillage following a serious collision".
Drivers have been instructed to follow the hollow square diversion symbol where they will leave the M4 at J14 and take the first exit on the roundabout to join the A338 for around three miles.
At the A4 mini roundabout, drivers should turn right onto the A4 towards Hungerford avoiding Hungerford town centre.
