"If this closure impacts your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey."
The agency has also put a diversion route in place with all drivers urged to follow the hollow square diversion symbol on road signs.
The diversion takes drivers off the M25 Junction 30, where they should exit the slip and take the third exit on the A13 roundabout towards Tilbury.
At the A128, drivers should bear left onto the exit slip and then take the first exit at the "Orsett Cock" roundabout onto the A128 towards Brentwood.
At the "Halfway House" roundabout, drivers must take the first exit onto A127 towards London.
Follow the A127 and take the exit slip towards M25 Junction 29 and then take the third exit at the roundabout to rejoin M25 towards Stansted.
Normal traffic conditions are expected to return between 11:30am and 11:45am later today.
Updating drivers, National Highways said that recovery is now ongoing at the scene. "Thanks for your continued patience if you're held up within the closure, there are long delays on approach," they added.

The incident has now been cleared with National Highways beginning the process of re-opening the M25 in Essex anti-clockwise between J30 and J29.
Traffic caught within the closure has been released with the agency stating it will issue a further update when the road has fully re-opened at J30.
