The controversial Jaguar Type 00 electric vehicle has been spotted for the first time on the road since the rebrand of the classic British icon at the end of 2024.
Jaguar unveiled its first electric vehicle, the Type 00 concept, at its eagerly anticipated event at Miami Art Week in December following an overhaul of the brand.
The Coventry-based brand ditched tradition and embraced bold designs with "original thinking" headlined by a striking look, its new slogan "copy nothing" and an advert with extravagant hairstyles, bright colours and a shift away towards "exuberant modernism".
At the launch of the Type 00, Jaguar showed off two vehicles, one in Miami Pink and one in London Blue. Alongside the vehicles, Jaguar unveiled a new logo and style choice.

Jaguar said the Type 00 would use a dedicated electric platform with an impressive 478-mile range, while rapid charging capabilities could add 200 miles of charge in just 15 minutes.
Leaked images now show the new Jaguar EV cold-weather testing, with the GT having a few striking differences from the concepts shown off at Miami Art Week last year.
While the pictures show the car wrapped in black and white camouflage, enthusiasts can still get a good look at the proportions and some of the minor details of the car.
Images show the vehicle to have a rigid shape with a more pronounced rear and sharp edges, whereas the concept has a rounded edge with no rear window.

The striking large grill at the back of the car that was highlighted during the initial unveiling is not as clear on the test vehicle, although the area is being covered with a number plate.
The GOV.UK website states that the electric car is a "Jaguar Unknown" and was first registered on September 17, 2024.
Jaguar said it would have a full unveiling of the vehicle this year before starting customer deliveries in 2026. It is estimated that the EV could cost around £130,000.
The electric capabilities have been praised by Rawdon Glover, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover, who described the technology as "game-changing".

He added: "We will move from range anxiety to charging anxiety, but this car will be able to add 200 miles of charge in 15 minutes."
Glover added that he had never been more confident in the brand as it moved towards a lower volume future and a larger emphasis on luxury. It has been suggested that the brand will launch three more electric vehicles in 2026.
The rebrand of Jaguar was one of the most controversial moves a car brand has ever taken with mass backlash for what many saw as a "woke" move and was panned by the likes of Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Despite the backlash, interest in Jaguar has never been higher, with millions of people searching for the vehicle, culminating in the final reveal of the Type 00 during the Miami Art Week exhibition.

Glover said the brand wanted to do something different with the design of the vehicle and move away from other EVs that "look like they were designed in a wind tunnel to maximise the range".
He continued: "We will do the opposite – vehicles that can create an emotional and visceral reaction with the driver. It needs to be a great driver’s car, but one you can drive mile after mile without it being draining, and it must be engaging.
"What is the alternative? Look at what is happening elsewhere – would I want to go into the mid-market or low-end and slug it out?"
