Jaguar has finally unveiled its new Type 00 concept car at a high-profile press conference after complete brand design, which many enthusiasts slated for killing the manufacturer's legacy.
At a decadent event at Miami Art Week, Jaguar's new "Copy Nothing" philosophy was realised with a slick showing of its new Type 00 concept car which the brand described as having "bold forms and exuberant proportions to inspire future Jaguars".
The new electric concept vehicle will be made in the UK, with a full reveal planned for the end of 2025. While speculation remains about a potential price point, it is expected to cost more than £100,000.
Images of the Type 00 concept were leaked online earlier in the day, with two futuristic vehicles displayed in front of stark backgrounds. The vehicle was revealed in two separate colours - Miami Pink and London Blue.

The historic British brand said the production version of the Type 00 would use a dedicated electric platform and could return a staggering 478-mile range, while rapid charging capabilities could add 200 miles of charge in just 15 minutes.
Adrian Mardell, chief executive of Jaguar Land Rover, said: “The magic of Jaguar is close to my heart – an original British luxury brand unmatched in its heritage, artistry and emotional magnetism.
“That’s the Jaguar we are recapturing and we will create the same sense of awe that surrounded iconic models like the E-type.
“Our journey is already underway, guided by our original ethos to copy nothing – and the results will be nothing short of spectacular.”

A side profile view of the vehicle shows the new laser-etched "leaper" logo on a brass ingot near the butterfly doors on either side of the vehicle.
Images show the panel protruding from the vehicle and displaying rear-facing cameras that provide a view similar to wing mirrors via the central infotainment screen.
Jaguar also announced that it would be launching three new electric vehicles in 2026, having taken new cars off sale more than a year ago to focus on the rebrand.
Tom Holden, Chief Interior Designer at Jaguar, said technology was at the forefront of the new model, noting the Clearsight display replacing the traditional rear‑view mirror to improve visibility.

He added: "Screens glide silently and theatrically from the dashboard, while powered stowage areas slide open softly on demand, revealing hidden splashes of exuberant colour.
"We believe technology should enhance the modern luxury experience, not dominate the architecture, and the digital screen at the centre of the dashboard is an example of this philosophy."
Jaguar states that the "visionary" design of the Type 00 "defies electric vehicle confection" with a sweeping roofline, long bonnet and vibrant new identity.
The concept vehicle, which Jaguar describes as "Exuberant Modernism", is designed to allow the brand to stand out in an "increasingly homogenous EV market".
