Drivers looking to buy a new electric vehicle will receive get a free home charger installed, alongside 10,000 free miles of charging credit from one of the most popular car brands in the world.
Ford has announced that it will be launching its Power Promise offer in the UK as it looks to tackle factors holding drivers back from investing in electric vehicles.
Recent data from the American manufacturing giant found that 25 per cent of customers feel uncertain when buying an electric vehicle, believing that the process is complex.
A further one in eight motorists believe it is "too difficult" to arrange charging at home, with one in three saying EVs take too long to charge.

Drivers can exchange the home charger offer for a £500 cash alternative

To tackle these beliefs and give drivers peace of mind, Ford is rolling out its Power Promise, which includes:
- Up to 10,000 miles home energy bonus to get their new car moving for free
- Eight-year, 100,000 mile high voltage component and battery warranty for peace of mind
- Free-of-charge five-year service plan to reassure drivers with low maintenance costs
- Free-of-charge five-year towing assistance that won’t leave them stranded on the side of the road
- Access to more than 33,000 UK public charging points via Ford’s BlueOval Charge Network
- FordPass app eliminates stress and storage of multiple apps for public charging payments
Lisa Brankin, chair and managing director of Ford UK, said: "Switching into an electric vehicle for the first time can be a daunting prospect for some drivers, so Ford have decided to simplify and de-stress the entire ownership experience by launching a one-of-a-kind promise to new electric car buyers.
"This commitment from Ford aims to entice new buyers into the exciting world of electric vehicles and stimulate additional demand for our freshest-ever lineup of electric passenger cars."
The Power Promise will build on Ford's existing partnership with Octopus Energy, which will see drivers benefit from the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff.
Motorists are able to charge their vehicles for just 7p/kWh overnight, meaning drivers could charge the new Ford Puma Gen-E for as little as £3.23.
Alex Schoch, director of flexibility at Octopus Energy, said: "With every electric car that takes the road, we’re getting closer to zero emissions transport - but to reach the finish line, we need to make green driving cheap and accessible.
"Working together with Ford, we're able to create a compelling incentive for drivers to make the switch to electric, saving their pocket and the planet at the same time."
The Power Promise is applicable across all of Ford's electric passenger vehicle line-up, which includes the Explorer, Capri, Puma Gen-E, Mustang Mach-E, E-Tourneo Custom and E-Tourneo Courier.
Drivers can also opt for a £500 cash alternative to the offer of the free home charger, standard installation and Home Energy Bonus.

So far this year, Ford is the fourth best-selling car brand in the UK, with 34,703 registrations, falling narrowly behind Volkswagen (53,156), BMW (35,559) and Kia (35,063).
The manufacturer was buoyed by an impressive sales record last month, with 23,634 new registrations. March often delivers superior sales with drivers looking to get their hands on a car with the new "25" number plate tag.
