Experts are calling on drivers to look into new schemes that could allow them to get their hands on new electric vehicles for as little as £153 a month.
Salary sacrifice schemes have become more popular in recent years with drivers getting a chance to drive more luxurious vehicles through their workplaces.
Oftentimes, these drivers will opt for electric vehicles if they are looking for something unique to drive, especially if they have only ever used a petrol or diesel vehicle.
New research has found that Britons can get their hands on affordable electric vehicles for as little as £153, while even the most popular models are available for around £300.

Drivers could get their hands on the Dacia Spring for just £153 a month through salary sacrifice, making it one of the cheapest EVs on the market.
It is also the cheapest electric vehicle on the market, with a list price of just £14,995. The 140-mile urban city explorer has been praised by experts for its affordable price point.
Motorists could also get a used Nissan Leaf hatchback for as little as £195 a month, while a new model would set drivers back around £260 a month.

Salary sacrifice schemes also offer premium electric vehicles for affordable prices, including the new BYD Dolphin, for just £214 per month.
The new electric vehicle is the Chinese brand's first push into the UK market as it looks to offer British drivers cheaper electric vehicles while still having some of the most impressive specifications of its rivals.
Used electric vehicles can also be suitable for motorists including the Renault ZOE hatchback for just £215 a month, while the Hyundai IONIQ will set drivers back £223 a month.
One of the most popular electric vehicles in the UK - the Vauxhall Mokka-e - is also available for those who want to have an EV through their work for £236 a month.
Thom Groot, co-founder and CEO of The Electric Car Scheme, said there were "fantastic deals" available for drivers who want to make the switch away from petrol and diesel vehicles.
He added: "These prices make EVs accessible to a far wider section of society and income levels, something that will be key in reaching the 2030 deadline.
"We know that the main concern for drivers is, affordability, which was the biggest barrier for 68 per cent of Brits, way out in front of any concerns around range, reliability or resale value."
