The DVSA has issued a warning regarding MOT tests as certain people only have a few weeks left to complete standard requirements.
Posting on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) called on MOT testers to act quickly.
It informed testers and garage workers that they are required to do their training and assessment before the deadline of March 31. The DVSA wrote: "You still have (time) to do your training and assessment."
The DVSA said testers should set aside enough time to complete the training to "avoid stress where possible".

MOT testers are required to complete training every year
PAMOT testers are required to complete training and pass an assessment between April and March every year, which consists of at least three hours for each group they test.
They must then record their training on the MOT testing service, book and take their assessment, and check their assessment provider has uploaded the assessment results.
Group B consists of class 3, 4, 5 and 7 vehicles, with class 4 being the most common. This includes most road vehicles including cars, motorhomes, taxis and ambulances.
When doing the training, testers will need to know about corrosion, classification of vehicles, MOT test procedures and the MOT inspection manual for cars and passenger vehicles.
People who test vehicles in both groups A and B need to study all their topics and train for at least six hours a year, instead of three. They also need to take two annual assessments.
Testers are also expected to record their training on the MOT testing service, as well as records of any training completed between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2024.
People could see their MOT tester status suspended if they do not pass the annual assessment by March 31, although rules are slightly different for those becoming a tester for the first time.
New testers do not need to record annual training or complete the annual assessment in the year they pass their demonstration test.
After the first year, they will need to record annual training and complete the annual assessment between April and March of the following year.
The DVSA has also called on drivers to make themselves aware of the MOT reminder service which allows them to get free text or email alerts.
This will help them avoid hefty fines for not having a valid MOT, which could set them back up to £1,000 if their vehicle is not roadworthy.
When someone signs up for the service, they will receive a reminder one month before their car, van or motorcycle MOT is due, or two months if they have a lorry, bus or large trailer.

Drivers are urged to sign up for the MOT test reminder service
PAThe reminders will also inform drivers if their vehicle is part of a recall notice for safety reason, depending on the manufacturer of their vehicle.
Rules are slightly different in Northern Ireland where motorists cannot use the service since they receive a reminder by post seven weeks before their MOT is due.
