'We had to be a bit of a Grinch when we spoke with this driver kindly asking him to remove the few hours work he spent decorating his vehicle'
A driver was pulled over by the police and told to remove Christmas decorations from their vehicle over fears it could cause an accident.
North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit took to social media to warn motorists of having too much festive spirit.
Writing on Facebook, the Roads Crime Unit said it loved the festivities but urged motorists to be sensible when celebrating the holidays.
It comes after the police force was forced to pull a vehicle over for having Christmas string lights attached to the bonnet of their car.

The Roads Policing Team said it was forced to be Grinch

The Roads Policing Unit said drivers are advised to keep their festive lights on their Christmas tree and not on their car.
Posting on social media, the force added: "This chap thought otherwise when we stopped him in Wrexham earlier today.
"We had to be a bit of a Grinch when we spoke with this driver kindly asking him to remove the few hours work he spent decorating his vehicle."
The police highlighted how affixing string lights to a vehicle is not legal and is not safe, even if the driver is trying to spread Christmas cheer.
They outlined that it can cause distractions to other road users, as well as cause injuries to other motorists if they were to come loose.
It was also noted that since the lights were stuck down with sellotape, strong winds could take them off, especially with the recent inclement weather.
The post continued, saying: "Strong words of advice to this driver on this occasion. Enjoy the festive period but please keep the decorations on your tree next time. Thank you."
The social media post was met with mixed responses from commenters, many of whom poked fun at the police for "blinding drivers with their excessive amount of white LED lights".
One commenter said: "I think someone has been looking at TikTok, though the one I saw used duct tape at least."
Another added: "Where's your Christmas spirit NWP Roads Policing Unit? But I do agree it's dangerous and looks awful."
However, a third commenter suggested that if the lights and decorations had been on an electric scooter, the Roads Police Unit would not have stopped the driver.
