Drivers are being warned of rush hour chaos in the coming hours following a serious collision, with motorists potentially waiting for 90 minutes or longer.
Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, National Highways: South-East, announced that the A282 at Dartford Crossing was closed.
The closure is in both directions within J1B (Princes Road Interchange at Dartford) following a serious collision, with severe delays expected throughout the afternoon.
National Highways confirmed that all emergency services including an Air Ambulance are attending the scene.

The latest warning states that there are delays of 90 minutes on the M25 clockwise and 45 minutes anti-clockwise.
It comes amid another serious collision on the M25 in Essex, with the motorway closed between J25 Waltham Cross Interchange (Enfield, Hertford A10) and J26 Waltham Abbey Interchange (Waltham Abbey, Loughton A121).
A collision investigation will be required by the police, with the closure expected to be protracted while this is conducted.
National Highways reports that Essex Police, Essex Fire and Rescue, East of England Ambulance Service, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance and Traffic Officers are attending.
