New research has found which vehicles are the cheapest to insure for drivers with short-term car insurance with the Ford KA costing just over £12 per hour.
The Fiat 500 was ranked as the second cheapest offering £12.15 per hour for drivers with temporary car insurance.
The Mini One costs £12.16, while drivers will fork out £12.30 for a Citroen Berlingo for temporary car insurance which allows motorists to borrow cars quickly without needing to own one.
The policy covers drivers in the short term with Cuvva data showing over 2.5million policies were sold last year via its app across the UK.

Cuvva analysed over 600,000 one-hour policies sold in the past year to find which vehicles are the cheapest to insure with temporary car insurance.
With average car insurance prices hitting £924 last month, many drivers are looking for more affordable ways to get behind the wheel.
The seven-seater Volkswagen Touran came in at £12.50 for an average hour-long policy. Other larger family cars like the Vauxhall Meriva had an average policy cost of £12.36.
Drivers looking for larger vehicles aren’t limited to just cars, as vans and SUVs are also available for short-term cover.
The Kia Sportage SUV costs drivers £12.48 to insure for an hour while the Mini Cooper can be insured for an extra 40p for an hour-long policy at £12.56.
Darryl Bowman, from Cuvva, said: “More and more drivers are choosing to borrow cars from friends and family to get around because it’s affordable.
“The type of car you choose to drive can make a big difference to the price you pay for your insurance too.”
Having cheap one-hour policies could be the more affordable option as insurance premiums have risen to unprecedented levels over the past year.
For young drivers, this could be a more affordable option as premiums hit them the worst.
The cost of car insurance for young drivers rose by £644 in the past year, with motorists under the age of 25 seeing their premiums spike to £2,009 in January 2024, compared with £1,365 for the same period last year.
The total annual car running cost also grew by 25 per cent in the past year to £3,043 rather than £2,436 in 2023.
Car insurance prices have increased by £366 in just 12 months and £71 in the last three months, according to Confused.com data.
