Perseus has also collaborated with an Italian design and engineering house for interior and exterior styling as well as prototyping, serial engineering, testing and validation requirements.
The company is also engaging with a European contract manufacturer to build its first model which will feature an artificial intelligence component.
Mohammed Yehya El Bakkali, founder, chairman and CEO of Perseus Motor Corporation, commented: "The launch of Perseus marks an exciting new chapter in global automotive innovation.
"Our ambition is clear: to create a premium value British EV brand that delivers emotionally captivating design, cutting-edge performance and a best-in-class intelligent AI-enabled and software-defined customer experience."
Dev Chana, Managing Director of E.ON Drive Infrastructure UK explained that the potential for EVs in the UK "is immense" with growing desire from drivers who "recognise the environmental and financial benefits of switching to cleaner motoring".
He said: "The increased desire from drivers throws down a challenge to vehicle manufacturers, tech companies and local authorities to make sure the vehicles and the infrastructure they rely on are available and visible nationwide.
"We're not just meeting today's demands but building infrastructure to make sure electric mobility is convenient and accessible for everyone."
Perseus will unveil more details on the design and technology of the Perseus SUV throughout the year.
El Bakkali added: "Crucially, our development and commercialisation strategy are also clear. Perseus already has agreements in principle with a European OEM Group to licence a cutting-edge EV platform and a leading Italian styling house to meet all design and engineering standards.
"We have also formed partnerships with a world-leading automotive software specialist, and a European contract manufacturer to ensure the first Perseus SUV model will reach customers by late 2027."
The launch of Perseus comes at a crucial time for the UK which has been ramping up its ambition to greener vehicles.
