Nutribullet has issued an urgent recall for its GO NBG-100 Rechargeable Blenders due to a serious "risk of fire".
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has confirmed that the batteries in affected units may overheat during charging.
Owners of these portable blenders are being advised to "stop using them immediately".
The product has been officially recalled from end users after failing to meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

The OPSS said: "Owners should stop using the Nutribullet Go NBG-100 immediately and visit https://nbg100.nutribullet.com/ to check if their product is affected.
"The serial number and SKU can be found on the underside of the product. Owners will need to register their affected product to receive a replacement NBG-200 model free of charge."
Argos released a statement to customers who purchased the blender from its stores.
It stated: "We have been requested by Nutribullet to alert you to a product recall impacting specific units of the rechargeable blender Nutribullet Go model NGB-100.
