Makeup is hailed as an effective anti-ageing tool, creating fabulous, flattering results in a matter of minutes - as long as you know the right techniques.
Learning how to highlight and brighten your eyes, in particular, can be transformative, making you look more youthful than ever.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, some of the most common signs of ageing around the eyes include fine lines and wrinkles, crow's feet, undereye bags, dark circles, sagging, dryness, age spots and puffiness.
While these can't be reversed with makeup, it's possible to make your eyes pop once more with the right hacks. Makeup artist Rachel De Oliveira (who goes by @rachdeoliveira on TikTok) claimed that neutral shades work wonders.
Sharing her top tips for more "youthful" eyes, Rachel stated: "All you need is a cream or vanilla or light beige [eyeshadow] pencil or crayon."
Applying this all over her eyelids, she said: "You can see already how this is brightening the eye."
She recommended using a cream product and blending this in with your fingers.
Next, the expert advised women to complement this first step using an eyeshadow powder in a similar shade, explaining that this will "set and enhance" their makeup.
"It just gives you a more awake, brighter, youthful look," she concluded. This effortless eye makeup routine doesn't require incorporating any colour, relying totally on natural tones.
To make your eyes "pop just that little bit more", Rachel advised beauty enthusiasts to dab some highlighter on the inner corners of their eyes.
In another video, Rachel told mature women which "foolproof" eye product should be their "best friend".
A second makeup artist spoke exclusively to GB News about how ladies can harness the anti-ageing power of eye makeup.
Saffron Hughes warned women over 50 that a popular product is "adding years" to their face and making them look tired.
Rather than using dark, heavy eyeliner, the expert advised opting for more understated, natural shades - much like Rachel De Oliveira.
Indeed, she told women: "Adding a nude or pale eyeliner in the waterline can make the whites of your eyes pop."

Women can also defy ageing by using their concealer in a specific way. Indeed, one makeup artist shared her "super easy" method for "lifting the face" over 50.
This technique provides a quick fix for any woman concerned with facial ageing.
As explained by the experts at Harvard Medical School, the fat in our faces is evenly distributed when we are young.
However, with age, this fat "loses volume, clumps up and shifts downward", causing round features to "sink" and smooth, tight skin to "loosen".
