Children who have gender dysphoria will no longer be given puberty blockers, NHS England has said
Tory MP Miriam Cates has slammed the NHS for "trying to pause biology" after it was revealed that they will be banning puberty blockers for children.
Puberty blockers, which pause the physical changes of puberty such as breast development or facial hair, will now only be available to children as part of clinical research trials and not children that are suffering with gender identity issues.
Speaking on GB News Cates said: "I am really pleased with this decision" adding "we don't know that puberty blockers are reversible".
