The nonagenarian suggested people start to "pay attention to diet and exercise" when they are young.

He explained: "In the summertime when I was young, we were out playing until the sun went down, so we were always fit.

"I do not see that today. I see too many overweight youths and not enough physical activity."

People need to start looking after their health; otherwise, "bad habits start eroding into it." Gordan advised: "Regular check-ups as well are important."

Content creator Evan asked the 90-year-old how to remain motivated to make healthy choices.

Gordan said: "Choose a path that makes sense for you. Stay focused and be committed to it.

"Be prepared to learn as you go along in case there are obstacles. You may have to learn from them and make a detour, but the ultimate goal is to stay focused."

He added that it is important not to worry about what people think of you as this can "distract you from the path you've chosen for yourself".
