A doctor has shared three diet tips for a longer life
Longevity is the result of a lot of factors, from genetics to lifestyle.
A 102-year-old doctor shared the diet tips that could benefit people the most.
Doctor and physician Dr. Gladys McGarey, who practised until the age of 86, explained the best diet is different and individual for everyone.
Still, there are some "big picture" tips people can follow for a longer life.
Drinking water can boost longevity, the expert suggested

"Drink lots of water and get your vegetables as fresh as you can," she said.
"Use meat that agrees with you, if it doesn't, don't eat it.
"[For example] just because someone says lamb is good for everybody, I don't agree with that.
"It's good for a lot of people but not everyone so find out what works for you."
Drinking lots of water, eating fresh vegetables and avoiding what doesn't work for you can boost longevity, she explained while on The Dhru Purohit Podcast.
Studies have shown staying hydrated can slow down the ageing process and prevent the development of disease.
The expert also shared the six pillars of a long life that relate to mindset and movement.
