Hair can undergo drastic changes in texture and length, but the right lifestyle hacks can restore it to its optimal state.
In a recent clip, trichologist Abbey Yung revealed the secret behind her remarkable hair transformation in less than a year, telling viewers: "This hair care tip is so underrated because it is one of the most important things to do for healthy growth."
Abbey, who has grown her hair from shoulder to waist length whilst maintaining its health, credits coconut oil-based products for her results.
"My hair has never been this long and this healthy," she shared, revealing that she prefers using the oil products as a pre-shampoo treatment.

Abbey applies the treatment from chin-length downwards. She shared: "[I'll apply] the coconut-based pre-shampoo all over my lengths and ends.
"I will apply it chin-length all the way down and I swear it has made the biggest difference to the health of my hair."
Recent research supports Abbey's approach to hair care, as one 2020 study found that people who used coconut oil once or twice a week had 65 per cent less hair breakage.
While products can improve hair quality and length, other experts emphasise that diet plays an equally important role in maintaining healthy locks.
Board-certified dermatologist Dr Sam Ellis recently highlighted five essential nutrients for healthy hair growth.
"There are many nutrients that contribute to healthy hair but it's important to ensure you have both the macro and micronutrients," she explained.
She identified iron, zinc, selenium and vitamin D as some of the most indispensable ingredients for healthy hair.
