It found women had a higher risk of having a negative reaction to an injection.
This included site reactions, where women were 43 per cent more likely to notice pain or swelling.

It found 27 per cent of women could be more susceptible to headaches and fever.
Some 48 per cent of women noticed more muscle aches.
The research was published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.
It looked at the reaction is men and women in two groups - those 18 to 64 and those over the age of 65.
In both age groups, women had the worst side effects.
All adults over the age of 65 are able to get free flu vaccines in the UK.
Those with severe health conditions who are under the age of 65 can get the vaccine, as well as all pregnant women.
