Endometriosis, where cells similar to those in the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other parts of the body, can be a debilitating condition.
The disease affects 1.5 million women and those assigned female at birth, as revealed by Endometriosis UK. While it is possible in men, this is extremely rare.
Symptoms of endometriosis may include pain in the pelvic area, pain during or after sex, fatigue, and pain or bleeding in other areas, such as in the chest. Sufferers may also experience particularly heavy and painful periods, or pain going to the toilet.
Those living with endometriosis might struggle to get pregnant and live with bouts of poor mental health.

But a new health breakthrough has given hope to sufferers, as NHS England has approved the first daily pill for treating endometriosis symptoms.
The treatment will be available for patients who have already tried all other options. Current treatments for endometriosis include medicines (painkillers and hormones) or surgery.
This marks a significant development for those suffering from the painful condition.
The new tablet, known as relugolix combination therapy, has been approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
The medication can be taken at home, offering greater convenience for patients managing their condition.
Endometriosis UK has welcomed the new pill as giving patients more choice.
However, the charity noted that it will help only a relatively small number of people.
The treatment represents an additional option for those who have exhausted other treatments for managing their endometriosis symptoms.
