Claudia Winkleman has said that her signature fringe has prevented her from having to get botox in her face.
The TV presenter discussed comments viewers had made about her appearance, laughing off criticism that her hairstyle was “distracting”.
The 51-year-old has maintained the fringe for the last 30 years and insisted she “cannot recommend it enough” for people who wanted to remain looking young without the cost of botox.
She said: “I am a walking fringe. But I grew it a centimetre every month and then suddenly started getting complaints.
She explained: “I don’t need Botox now. Have you seen how long my fringe is?"

“I genuinely get letters of complaint.
“The main concerns seem to be, ‘How does she see?’ and ‘What is she hiding?’.
“I also had a, ‘Have you got squirrels under there?’ which was a particularly good letter.”
Speaking to The Sun, she continued: “I don’t need Botox now. Have you seen how long my fringe is?
“It is now almost upper-lip length, I cannot recommend it enough.
“When you hit 51, just grow an enormous curtain in front of your face. Go full yeti. It works.”
Discussing what look she would keep if she was only allowed one she exclaimed: “I would have to keep the fringe, and ditch the others,
“I mean, I like being fluorescent orange and with eyes that look like a child has put some crayon on me and I’ve slept in a skip.

“I don’t have a health and beauty regime. I know that if I stand in front of a mirror in the bathroom applying toner then something has gone terribly wrong.
“But my main thing is that I nap all the time and never take off my make-up. So essentially what you’re looking at was applied in the Seventies.
“I have an Oura ring (a smart bit of tech which measures your sleep statistics) and get around eight hours’ sleep a night.
“I don’t drink any water, not even three sips a day.”
