Will Kirk faced a difficult fix along with his co-star Sonnaz Nooranvary, with the guest to the BBC favourite admitting he was "ashamed" of the state of the items.
It came during the latest instalment of the emotional series, which aired on Wednesday, March 12.
Roger Parsons visited the signature barn along with two chairs, which had clearly seen better days.
Ahead of his arrival, Kirk commented on the "damp smell" of the items, pondering what had happened to the wooden chairs.

The woodworker had the help of his co-star, upholstery expert Sonnaz Nooranvary.
Explaining the poor state of the chairs, Roger told the repair specialists: "They once belonged to my twin brother, Chris.
"He had them when he lived in Cornwall in the late '80s, early '90s. An opportunity for work took him to Florida, but he kept the house, rented it out with his possessions.
"And then he sold it, and I was tasked with emptying the contents out - and the chairs were amongst those items. Chris sadly lost his life to cancer back in July '22."

"Chris obviously had great taste, because these are Ercol chairs," Nooranvary detailed, adding: "Quite stunning pieces.
"They were designed 100 years ago, if not more, and they're handmade."
"Right, I hadn't realised that," Roger confessed. "He would've known that, I'm sure.
"Which is why he always said to me, 'hang on to the chairs.' Well I guess you can see... I didn't really look after them as well as I might have done."
Expressing his guilt, he continued: "I've had them in storage, but it was damp in storage.
"They've been under tarpaulin with a lot of other things in my lock-up."
Analysing the damage to the chairs, he continued: "We've got fractures here, you can see a lot of water damage, loose joints."
"Were there cushions on the chairs?" Kirk asked, to which Roger replied: "There must have been."
"Completely rotted away then?" Kirk probed, leading Roger to admit: "Yeah. I'm just er, ashamed actually, that they've ended up in this condition."

Thankfully, the duo managed to fix the chairs and had them looking as good as new.
When he came to collect them, Roger was overjoyed, and stated: "I don't know which one to look at first.
"I've never seen them looking so good - and I'm sure Chris didn't, either."
He went on to add: "I never really thought that they'd look anything like this at all."
In a brutal admission about the chairs' former state, Kirk quipped: "Nor did I!"
