The Repair Shop favourite Will Kirk shared with viewers how he often uses special items on the BBC show as inspiration for gifts for his young daughter.
Furniture specialist Kirk, 39, is now a father-of-two after welcoming a son last October. During the latest episode, he made a moving admission about his two and a half-year-old daughter.
Wednesday's instalment saw Dylan Lombard from Glasgow visiting the iconic barn with a unique item made by his grandfather.
Kirk was assigned to fix the broken, wooden item, but couldn't quite make out what it had once been.

"So this is a whirligig. It's something that spins quite fast when it's windy," Dylan explained.
He continued: "So this was made by my grandad to put in our garden, and we would go outside and see the whirligig spinning.
"And then one day a big storm happens and I looked and there was nothing there.
"So the whirligig broke shortly after my grandad passed away, which was about a year ago."

"What was your grandad's name?" Kirk asked, to which Dylan replied: "My grandad's name was David.
"He was just a really funny guy, a really creative guy. He would always be making stuff in his workshop."
David went on to detail how his grandfather's positivity had helped him through some struggled he'd faced in life.
Kirk assured the loving grandson he would do his best to restore the whirligig, and was inspired by the item.
As he worked on the whirligig, he admitted: "There have been a few occasions where something has come into the barn that catches my eye.
"I try to make it myself and take it back home, and this might be one of those things.
"I've got a young daughter that loves spending time out in the garden, and I think that she'd really like to see this spinning around.
"I really like the idea of making something for a family member, you know, it just makes a gift extra special.

"And that's why it's so important I can get this fixed for Dylan."
Thankfully, Kirk was able to return the whirligig to Dylan looking as good as new, with the wooden item now placed back together and a new lick of paint brightening it up.
When he came to collect it, a moved Dylan exclaimed: "Wow! Oh it's amazing.
"I really like the added apples to the tree, because I feel like it helps it to stand out, and I think you've really brought the whirligig back to life."
Thanking Kirk, he concluded: "It is emotional, but it's also positive."
